Feb. 6

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon Feb. 6 at St. Timothy's Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. Karen Francis will give a presentation on dementia and Alzheimer's. Feb. 7

Eighth Annual SnowBlast Winter Festival, Emmaus, sponsored by the Emmaus Arts Commission. The festival is packed with free, community-wide arts related events. For a complete schedule of activities, visit www.emmausarts. org/snowblast_winter_festival.

Emmaus Historical Society is participating in the Emmaus Arts Commission SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival displaying vintage winter displays, photos and articles of blizzards in Emmaus dating back to the 1800s. The society is open 5 to 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 8. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. The winter displays will be shown through March 8.

Feb. 11

Triad meeting 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room of Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 Elm St., Allentown. Attendees will learn more about Triad and Project Lifesaver. For more information, call 610-966-8511.

A magic and illusion show with Tom Yurasits 10 a.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road.

Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will hold a breakfast buffet 7 to 11 a.m. until sold out. There will be a cost for guests six and over. The public is welcome to attend. For information, call 610-966-5115.

Feb. 19

The Emmaus Historical Society program is "The 1959 Emmaus Centennial," Part 1, held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 7 p.m. The kickoff dinner, the opening ceremonies and exhibits, The Queen's Ball and The Time Capsule are major events to be shared in this, the first program on the great centennial celebration.
