CENTRAL CATHOLIC COLUMN Diocesan Music Festival marks 40 years

Central Catholic High School has been a busy place in recent weeks.

Among the highlights was serving as host site for the Diocesan Music Festival. Held in Central Catholic's Masson Auditorium Jan. 30 to Feb.1 this year marked the 40th anniversary of the event.

The concert offers an opportunity to see some of the young musicians in the diocese perform at their best.

This year's band and chorus concert held Feb. 1 featured select students from the seven diocesan high schools in the Catholic Diocese of Allentown. The concert showed off the wide range of musical talents, from vocal to instrumental proficiency.

A financial aid presentation is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 5. This meeting is for anyone looking for advice on financial aid to help high school students continue their education. Leeanna Egnor from College Aid Professionals of PA will lead the meeting and will cover topics regarding the process of applying for financial aid as well as the services her firm offers for high school students wishing to continue their education. The meeting will take place in Masson Auditorium.

Congratulations to Maximus Ebert, junior class president and now author of the children's book titled "Here We Go, Vikings!" His book portrays all the exciting activities at Central Catholic High School a Viking might enjoy. Ebert is tremendously involved with the school on all levels and looks forward to more great times to come.
