Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is offering a parent-child workshop 10:30 a.m. Mondays Feb. 17-March 17.
Registration begins 10 a.m. Feb. 3.
This five-week program involves toddlers, their parents and caregivers in play.
Local professionals will serve as resources for parents.
There will be singing, reading and play at the worshop. Registration is required.
The book group for adults, "Book Quest," will meet 7 p.m. Feb. 19 to discuss "The Bookshop" by Penelope Fitzgerald.
A basic computer classes for beginners is being offered 9 a.m. Feb. 1, 8 and 22 by reference librarian Noah Roth.
Space is limited, so registration is needed.

Allentown AARP Chapter No. 5415 will meet noon Feb. 6 at St. Timothy's Church, Allentown.
Karen Francis will give a presentation on dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Non-members are always welcome to attend the meetings.

The program for the evening, "How to Grow the Best Tomatoes," will be presented by Jim Weaver, owner of Meadow View Farm, Kutztown.
