Lehigh Gap Nature Center, Slatington, is hosting its inaugural Nature in Photographs show March 21 to April 5, at the center's Osprey House. Amateur nature photographers throughout the area are encouraged to participate. Photographs may be from anywhere but not computer generated images or collages.

This year, there will be three categories: Wildlife, Scenic and Macro. Wildlife includes plants and animals of any kind.

Photographers may submit up to three photographs with a nature theme to be exhibited at the center for two weeks in early spring. Judges will select the best photographs in the three categories. In addition to judging of the best photographs in each category, all visitors to the show will be asked to participate by voting for their favorite image for a People's Choice Award.

All entries must be submitted to the jurors as JPEG files, 2MB or less.

Files should be submitted by Feb. 28 via email to frozenbeedoc@verizon.net.

Entries accepted for the exhibition should be printed from the full quality file and mounted according to the photographer's wishes, but must be ready to hang from display panels, either with wire or Velcro.

Sales of photographs at the show are encouraged. A $5 entry fee for each photograph is required when the photo is presented for the exhibition.
