The Forum for Ethics in the Workplace announced the winners of the 2014 Societas Award for Responsible Corporate Conduct.
Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. of Trexlertown will receive the Large Company award.
Eco Tech Marine of Bethlehem will receive the Small Company award.
The companies will be honored and presented with their awards Jan. 30 during a luncheon at DeSales University Center, DeSales University, Center Valley.
Kevin Flemming, President of Integrity Personnel and Chairman of the award committee, congratulated both winners: "This year's winners demonstrate the highest levels of ethical standards within their organizations and provide models for businesses both large and small to follow. We are excited to share their stories and share their example that ethical practices and business success are not mutually exclusive."
The Societas Award competition is open to all for-profit companies headquartered in eastern Pennsylvania. To be considered for the award, companies submit detailed information about their business that addresses recognized elements of ethical business practices such as accountability in all levels of the organization, strong compliance systems and corporate citizenship.
The competition was first introduced in 2011 with the goal of honoring real companies that apply ethical business practices in their day-to-day operations. Previous winners include Lafayette Ambassador Bank and Jaindl Companies.
The award ceremony features a multi-media presentation highlighting this year's winners and honoring the continued pursuit of ethical practices of past winners and nominees. The award luncheon will take place at noon Jan. 30.
