Upper Macungie Township
A benefit breakfast is being offered 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Good Will Fire Company No. 1, 7723 Hamilton Blvd, Trexlertown for Candace Nickischer, who is battling cancer.
Candace is the wife of Upper Macungie Township Police Commander of Criminal and Community Service Division Lt. Pete Nickischer.
This fundraiser is sponsored by the Good Will, Fogelsville and Upper Macungie Station 56 fire departments.
Upper Macungie Township police will be assisting at the benefit.
All proceeds will benefit the Nickischer family.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will be having Family Storytime for children 18 months to 3 years 10:30 a.m. Jan. 23, 29 and 30 and Feb. 5 and 6.
Younger and older siblings may attend. An adult must stay with each child.
There will be stories, songs, and games for the whole family to share.
Preschool Storytimes for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years will be offered 1 p.m. Jan. 23, 29 and 30 and Feb. 5 and 6.
Parents must stay in the library but do not have to attend storytime with the children. There will be stories, songs, games, and crafts.
Spend an afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks with the Knitting Circle 1:30-4 p.m. on Jan. 23.Just bring knitting materials.
The Knitting Circle is for knitters of all ages and skill levels.
Drop-In Storytime for families with young children and children of all different ages will be held 10:30 a.m. Jan. 31.
There will be stories, songs, and games for the whole family to share.
No registration is required.
The library is offering a basic computer class for beginners 9 a.m. Feb. 1.
Space is limited, so registration is needed to attend.
Join the library's new daytime book group for adults to discuss "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand" by Helen Simonson 2 p.m. on Feb. 1.
