Though the first month of the New Year has just begun, our school's focus seems to be on dreaded midterm exams, which will take place over the weeks to come.
The scheduled tests begin Jan. 22 and end Jan. 24.
Students are scrambling to study and finish end of the term projects as well.

On Jan. 15, the school is privileged to have a guest speaker representing the "Love Protects" program in Florida.
Jannique Stewart will be joining us to speak about the upcoming Sanctity of Human Life Day Jan. 22.

Jan. 27 not only marks the beginning of a new semester, but also the start of National School Choice Week.
This week, good education is highlighted and schools celebrate and speak for the benefits and need for proper education.

In the meantime, there are other things to keep students distracted from our busy week, such as visiting eighth graders.
Our sending schools, Lehigh Christian Academy, Covenant Christian Academy and Good Shepherd Christian Academy, are taking their eighth graders on a trip to tour our school and observe classes on Jan. 16. The eighth graders from Bethlehem Christian School will also be visiting Jan. 27.
Some of these students will become freshmen at LVCHS next year and we strive to make a good potential first impression.

Our basketball teams have also recently played at West Chester Christian and Salem Christian.
Both teams won against Salem, but only our girls team emerged victorious against West Chester Jan. 6.
The boys are in second place in the ACCAC and host first place Calvary Christian Friday, Jan. 17. We also play at home against Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School Jan. 20.
Our girls are in first place, and in addition to those two upcoming opponents, will also host the Moravian Academy girls Jan. 24.
We also look forward to our girls basketball team playing the Catasauqua High School lady Rough Riders Saturday, Feb. 1.
