Thomas Mohr has been named Director of Development for the Allentown Rescue Mission.
Mohr is responsible for organizing and directing community philanthropy, funds management, fundraising, donor relations, community relations, marketing, advocacy and event management.
Mohr has more than 40 years of experience in business, non-profit, government, education and management. He was director of development for Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley and Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, and director of new business development and account manager for United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. He was district director for former Congressman Paul McHale and a Bethlehem City Councilman 1990 - '95.
Mohr is a former Marine Corps Sergeant and Vietnam veteran. He and his wife of 32 years, Yolanda, co-owned Third Street's Chicken and Ribs, Bethlehem, 1983 - 2006.
Mohr attended East Stroudsburg University. He has three stepsons with his wife Yolanda and resides in Bethlehem.
