Burglary

Police were called to the 1900 block of South Bradford Street, Allentown, for the report of a burglary. Police said the resident thought she heard footsteps in the home 1 p.m. Dec. 20, 2013, so the K-9 patrol was called to go through the home. Once the home was secured, police and the resident found various jewelry missing as well as $500 cash. A 1981 Lehigh University class ring was also removed from the home.

An unknown actor removed 50 feet of copper piping, a chop saw, circular saw and cordless drill from the former Paper Outlet store, 3145 Lehigh St., Allentown, which was reported 11:45 a.m. Dec. 28, 2013. The actor entered through the front window.

Retail theft

Jennifer Carr, 36, of Coopersburg, was arrested for two counts of retail theft at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., Allentown, 1:20 p.m. Dec. 23, 2013. Carr allegedly removed jewelry valued at $170 from the store as well as $75 worth of jewelry from SteinMart, 3300 Lehigh St. Allentown, and was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Ryan Bearish, 28, of Allentown, was given a citation for retail theft for an incident at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., Allentown, 12:09 p.m. Dec. 27, 2013. Bearish allegedly entered the dressing room with a shirt and did not have it when he left the dressing room. He was taken to Central Booking.

Criminal mischief

A resident in the 800 block of Yorkshire, Allentown, reported to police 6:07 p.m. Dec. 23, 2013, two white handprints on the side of the home.

An unknown actor punctured the right rear tire of a minivan parked in the 1600 block of Lehigh Avenue, 5 p.m. Dec. 26, 2013.

A resident in the 3200 block of Lincoln Avenue, Allentown, reported 1:47 p.m. Dec. 29, 2013, an unknown person shattered the rear window of a vehicle parked in the driveway.

A resident in the 1300 block of Garden Avenue, Allentown, reported 8:21 a.m. Jan. 1, an unknown actor threw a rock through a vehicle window. There was also a dent in the car.

Assault

Kevin Wright, 25, of Toms River, N.J., was arrested for simple assault and harassment 4:29 p.m. Dec. 25, 2013, after he allegedly choked and threw the victim down in front of a 6-year-old child in the 1400 block of Susquehanna Street. Wright was found walking on Susquehanna Street and taken to Central Booking for processing.

Lorena Keglic, 42, of Saylorsburg, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct after a disturbance at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest 14:58 p.m. Dec. 28, 2013. Keglic allegedly was creating a disturbance at the hospital. Once under arrest and handcuffed, Keglic allegedly kicked a Salisbury police officer in the face multiple times. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Theft from vehicle

Sometime between 7 p.m. Dec. 27, 2013 and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 28, 2013, an unknown actor entered a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of Filbert Street, Allentown, and removed a lighter.

A resident in the 2300 block of Filbert Street, Allentown, reported 1:47 p.m. Dec. 28, 2013, an unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a Garmin GPS unit, earrings, a Blackberry phone, an iPod 2 and gift cards. Another unlocked vehicle on the property was also entered and a DeWalt saw, cordless saw, DeWalt drill set and a Stanley smart level were stolen.
