Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave, South Whitehall, will be hosting certified Holistic Health and Wellness Coach Christina Moyes from One Body Wellness for "Ten Keys to Healthy Eating," 6 p.m. Jan.16.

Join the library's new book club for young readers 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 to discuss "Seven Wonders: The Collossus Rises" by Peter Lerangis.

If you're interested, and have read the book before the meeting, come out and talk about it.

Book-related snacks will be provided.

Bingo for Books becomes an activity for the youth starting 1 p.m. Jan. 11.

Play bingo and earn books to take home.

There will be a large selection of books for children of all ages.

Join the library's new group of aspiring authors "Adults Writers Unite," at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 and on Feb. 20.

Commonwealth speaker Keith Brintzenhoff will present a brief history of Pa. German music, dance and instruments through dance, song, and stories 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 26 at Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road, South Whitehall.

He will then perform and explain the roles with guitar, harmonica, mountain dulcimer, banjo and autoharp and play in Pennsylvania German music.

Participants will be taught to hoedown as well as fancy footwork of jigging.

This event is a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council supported in part by the National Endowment for the humanities.

Parkland Garden Club will meet at Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10 to hear "How to Grow the Best Tomatoes" with Jim Weaver, owner of Meadow View Farms.
