Auditions are set for the spring musical "Annie Get Your Gun." They will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 6, 8 and 9, 2014. Many students participate in the musical and it always turns out to be a great show. Students are encouraged to participate, regardless of musical to theatrical talent or experience. It provides a great opportunity for students to participate in theater and become involved in new activities at Central.

During the week of Jan. 12, 2014, Central Catholic High School students will find themselves very busy with a week of semester examinations. Jan. 14 to the 16, 2014, students will be taking cumulative exams comprised of material from the first two quarters. Underclassmen will take six in the subjects of English, theology, math, science, foreign language and social studies over the course of the three days. With only two exams a day, students are dismissed 11:30 a.m. to allow time to relax and prepare for the next day's exams.

Upperclassmen do not necessarily have all their midterms during the days of Jan. 14, 15 and 16. This is because a senior or junior may not be taking a social studies, foreign language, math, or science course that year. This means they do not have to be at Central for the exam period of the subject they are not taking. This is made possible due to upperclassmen having greater freedom in class selection and scheduling.
