Theft from vehicle
A person visiting the Scott Mazda Volvo Dealership, 3209 Lehigh St., Allentown, parked his unlocked vehicle on the lot 11:05 a.m. Dec. 8 and returned later to find a blue duffel bag missing with clothing and sneakers inside.
A resident in the 1400 block of Exeter Road, Allentown, reported 7:42 a.m. Dec. 10 an unknown actor removed a small amount of change from an unlocked vehicle.
A resident in the 2600 block of Bridgets Way, Allentown, reported 7:32 a.m. Dec. 10 an unknown actor went through an unlocked vehicle and removed change.
A resident in the 1400 block of 31st Street, Allentown reported 8:46 a.m. Dec. 10 an unknown actor went through an unlocked vehicle and removed a purse containing $20 cash and credit cards.
Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, 1151 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, reported the theft of two bus batteries sometime between Dec. 4 and 13. The batteries are valued at $343.99.
Police were notified a person returned to their car parked in the 1900 block of Chapel Avenue, Allentown, 8:45 p.m. Dec. 18 to find the driver's side window smashed and a Motorola cell phone, bowling ball, bowling bag, bowling shoes, wallet and $20 in cash were removed.
Attempted theft
A resident in the 1700 block of Lehigh Avenue reported an unknown actor attempted to open a vehicle car door 1:01 a.m. Dec. 13. The resident saw a male run away from the vehicle but police were unable to locate him.
DUI
Judith Ammon, 34, of Allentown, has been charged with suspicion of driving under the influence 4:45 p.m. Dec. 14 after an accident at 24th Street and Lehigh Parkway North. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Donald Wertman, 63, of Macungie, has been charged with suspicion of driving under the influence 7:40 p.m. Dec. 17 after the minivan Wertman allegedly was driving crashed into a tree. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
