Men involved

in fight at bar

State Police Troop M Fogelsville allege David Van Artsdalen of New Tripoli attacked Garrett Sukanick, also of New Tripoli, and a large fight ensued involving Rodney Luft of Bechtelsville, David John Hummel of Kutztown and Lucas James Hummel of New Tripoli 1:39 a.m. Dec. 14 in the parking lot at The Ridge Bar and Grille, 6799 Madison St., Lynn Township.

Van Artsdalen was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, police say.

Luft was also taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public drunkenness.

Police say both David Hummel and Lucas Hummel will be cited with summary disorderly conduct.

This incident remains under investigation.

Charges pending in Lynn Twp argument

Police say Charles Edwin Rex, 46, and Samantha Katie Rex, 20, both of New Tripoli, were allegedly involved in an argument at 1:27 a.m. on Dec. 14 at 7487 Camp Meeting Road, Lynn Township.

Police allege Charles Rex pushed Samantha Rex, then she kneed him in the ribs, before he then tackled her to the ground at which time both were separated from each other.

Charges are pending further investigation, police say.

Vehicle fire

in Weisenberg Twp

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 27-year-old man Allentown man was eastbound in the 10300 block of Old Route 22, Weisenberg Township, when his vehicle caught fire 1:14 p.m. Dec. 14.

Police say the man pulled off the right side of the road and exited the vehicle.

He was transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for a precautionary evalution, police say.

State Police Sgt. Brobst, Weisenberg Fire Department and Getz Towing assisted at the scene.

Vehicle keyed

in Lynn Twp

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 32-year-old woman reported the front and rear driver's side door on her vehicle were keyed sometime between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7 and 10:45 p.m. Dec. 8 in the 6000 block of Schochary Road, Lynn Township.

This incident remains under investigation, police say.

Man charged

with harassment

State Police Troop M Fogelsville allege Elijah Devonn Williams, 18, of Allentown, punched Jermaine Davis, 19, of Allentown, in the face 10:37 a.m. Dec. 11 at Lehigh Learning and Achievement Center, 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township.

Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

Vehicle hits

guard rail, ditch

Cesar Garcia, 32, of Breinigsville, was driving a 2003 Honda Element west on Old Route 22 at the intersection with Klines Mill Road when the SUV began to spin counterclockwise and crossed into the eastbound lanes at 4:38 p.m. Dec. 8, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

The vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch and guard rail with the passenger side front before coming to a final rest on Klines Mill Road, facing north.

Police say Garcia and his passenger, Valerie N. Garcia, 31, of Breinigsville, who were both wearing seat belts, were uninjured.

Vehicle strikes tree

in Lynn Township

Tiffany A. Moll, 26, of Lansford, was driving a 2003 Toyota Echo when it struck a tree 1:48 a.m. on Dec. 9 on Route 309, Lynn Township, say State Police Troop M Fogelsville.

According to police, the Toyota was northbound on Route 309, north of Mountain Road, negotiating a left curve in the uphill roadway, when Moll lost control and the vehicle, which began to spin in a counterclockwise direction and went off the western side of the roadway.

The vehicle then struck the tree with its passenger front door, police say.

Police say after the Toyota hit the tree, it spun approximately 180 degree before coming to a final rest, facing a northerly direction in the area of initial impact.

Moll and both her passengers Jeffrey Q. McNal, 27, of Lansford and Ehiane J. Grant, 27, of Philadelphia, who were wearing seat belts, were transported by Northwestern and Cetronia ambulances to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

State Police Trooper DeAngeles, Lynn Township firefighters and Soley's Towing assisted at the scene.
