A 45-year-old Kempton woman was injured during an altercation over a scratch-off lottery ticket just after 9 p.m. Dec. 11 at 8996 Kings Highway, Lynn Township, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.
Police allege Richard C. Conrad, 51, of Kempton, and the woman had a verbal altercation regarding the ticket.
According to police, the woman held the lottery ticket in her left hand behind her back along with her vehicle's keys in the right hand.
She allegedly refused to give Conrad the lottery ticket and he allegedly approached her and wrapped his right leg around and behind her legs, before kicking her legs in a sweeping motion, knocking her feet out from under her.
As a result of the kick, the woman fell to the floor, and injured her knee.
Police allege once she was on the floor, Conrad took the lottery ticket and the car keys, injuring her right middle finger.
He then fled the scene in her vehicle.
Charges have been filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington, police say.
