"Via Teen Winter Experience," Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30 and 31, is for teens and young adults age 13 - 21.
The program helps young adults with disabilities through recreational, social, volunteer and educational activities.
"We provide meaningful activities to enhance social connections during the time teens and young adults are not in school," said Becky Stone, Via Teen Experience Coordinator.
"Participants in Via Teen Winter Experience spend the winter break building their social skills in community settings and connecting to other teens by building friendships outside of school."
Since 2008, more than 100 individuals have participated in this program to enhance independence at home and in the community.
Via Teen Experience, a part of Via Community Connections, helps students develop life skills to help them make transition from high school to adult life.
