Officials at Hospital Central Services, Inc. (HCSC) have announced that Stephen A. Gergar of Macungie has been appointed Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer of HCSC.
Gergar succeeds Thomas D. Fenstermacher, who retires Dec. 31 after a 23-year tenure. Gergar joined the organization Nov. 18 and assumes the role of Vice President of Finance-CFO on Jan. 1, 2014.
Gergar has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting.
He most recently was Vice President and General Manager of IQE, Inc., Bethlehem. Previous positions include Chief Financial Officer, Qualtronics Corporation International; Chief Financial Officer, Plummer Precision Optics (now Edmund Optics); Chief Financial Officer, Diamonex, Inc., and Vice President of Finance, Mancor Industries, Inc. Gergar began his professional career at Air Products & Chemicals as Manufacturing Controller.
Gergar received a Bachelors in Finance-Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Lehigh University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
HCSC is composed of HCSC-Laundry, HCSC-Group Purchasing and Miller-Keystone Blood Center, in addition to HCSC-Enterprises, the management arm of the organization.
