Catasauqua Middle School will be collecting nonfood items for members in the community in need during the month of December.
Items the school is accepting include toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap, dish soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towels, Clorox wipes, cleaning supplies, gloves, scarves, mittens and hats.
Students may bring any of the items to school and place them under the Giving Tree located in the main lobby of the middle school.
The Catasauqua Food Bank is also in need of turkeys for the holiday season. You may drop the turkeys off at the food bank or at the middle school.
The middle school will also be collecting and donating animal products to Animals in Distress, a Lehigh Valley no-kill shelter for abandoned or abused animals.
During December, students may bring the items to the school and also place under the Giving Tree located in the main lobby of the school.
The last day to donate items is Dec. 20. Items will then be dropped off at Animals in Distress Saturday, Dec. 21.

The middle school will hold its winter choral concert 7 p.m. Dec. 18 in the school auditorium.
