STUDENT OF THE WEEK Hannah Brough
Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am currently in the 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: Besides drawing classes, my favorite subject is probably Spanish. Although I know I've improved a lot, it's extremely humbling to realize how little I actually understand and how much more there is to learn.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: My freshman year I received the Paul Rockwell Diely Memorial Award for Honors Social Studies and English. I am also a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and have achieved Principal's Honor Roll every semester.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am involved in my church, Bethel Bible Fellowship Church and its youth group. I have two part-time jobs, love playing soccer and participate in a few clubs at school, serving as an officer in Mountains of Hope. What's free time?
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: Although I don't know which college I will attend, in five years I hope to have earned a master's degree in speech-language pathology.
Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A: My biggest challenge thus far has been comparing myself to others. Well, that and procrastination.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I want to be remembered for the way my passion for Christ is reflected through my actions.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: I live with my fantastic parents who will read this, Dave and Heidi. I also have an older sister, Lydia, and a myriad of unfortunate fish.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to?
A: My grandma is my favorite person in the world. I look up to her so much because she is the most Godly and compassionate person I know. She also makes sure I'm always adequately dressed for the weather!
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: Be the person that you want to be, not what others expect.
