It all adds up! Heidelberg Union Church will be packing Christmas baskets for the less fortunate in our area.

If you would like to help out by packing the boxes, doing some of the food shopping, or if you know of a local family or individual in need, contact Joan Hein at 610-767-6557.

On Dec. 9, donations of Christmas cookies for the Allentown Soup Kitchen may be dropped off between 6-7 p.m. in Heidelberg Church's Fellowship Hall.

If you have any extra cookies to spare, they will be greatly appreciated in addition to donations of any warm clothing such as coats, hats, scarves, gloves, boots, shoes and blankets.

For additional details, call Dawn Fisher at 610-266-0415.

As an added treat, a special appearance will be made by pianist Susan Hartney.

Heat and eat! The Germansville Fire Company is once again taking orders for its scrumptious Christmas potato filling and hot bacon dressing just in time for your holiday feast.

Place an order by calling 610-767-4400 no later than Dec. 21.

Filling orders are sold by the pound, and serve approximately two people.

Bring a container for the filling to the upstairs kitchen of the fire company between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 24.

The fire company thanks you for your continued support and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy New Year!

At this time, it is also nice to note that more than 1,800 pounds of potato filling and 108 pints of bacon dressing were made and sold at Thanksgiving.

Hats off to the numerous volunteers who help make the filling fundraiser such a great success each year.
