married in Wilkes-Barre
Stephanie Marie Gawlas and Colin James Walsh were married in a double-ring ceremony July 6 at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride's great-uncle, Msgr. Joseph Rausher, officiated at the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Nancy Gawlas of Hanover Township, Luzerne County.
She was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Alyssa Gawlas, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Catie Kresge, sister of the groom; and Kelly Rose, Alicia Sebastian, Therese Stemple and Katie Jones, friends of the bride.
The groom is the son of Charles and Cynthia Walsh of Northampton.
His best man was Zachary Leonard, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Adam Walsh, cousin of the groom; Robert Gawlas, cousin of the bride; and Richard Warmkessel, Chad Hoffman and Thomas Gallager, friends of the groom.
The ring bearer was Ava Walsh, the couple's German shepherd.
The reception was held at The Woodlands, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride is a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and King's College.
She is a first-grade teacher in Loudon County, Va.
The groom is a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and King's College.
He is a federal closeout analyst for Deloitte, Tyson's Corner, Va.
Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Reston, Va.
