The Zephyr Key Club will hold a holiday toy drive for Zephyr and Steckel elementary school students from Tuesday, Dec. 3, until Friday, Dec. 13.

A bake sale also is scheduled to take place during parent teacher conferences next week, 12:30 to 4 p.m., at Zephyr.

The Key Club will also hold a pierogie sale until Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Club members were able to make more than 30 Thanksgiving baskets for families in need in the district.

Join the Whitehall-Coplay Education Association (WCEA) in its efforts to support students and the community.

WCEA would like to recognize the efforts of students for strong performance on the School Performance Profile exams.

Also, the WCEA will hold a toy drive to assist Toys For Tots Saturday, Dec. 14, at Re/Max Unlimited, located on Schadt Avenue in Whitehall Township.

Donations of toys will be accepted 9 a.m.-1 p.m..

Per district guidelines, educational trips are limited to seven school days per year. Any days missed for travel beyond that will be considered illegal if the student's age is 16 or younger.

The Family Educational Trip Request Form (available in the school office) must be submitted to the office before departure. If the form is not submitted before the trip, the days will be considered illegal.

The district prefers all trips be scheduled during holiday breaks.
