Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave, South Whitehall, is offering baby story time for newborns to children age 17 months 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4 and Dec. 11.
There will be stories, songs and movement activities. Older siblings may attend but an adult must stay with each child.
Students in grades seven to 12 are invited to join PCL Teens 7:30-8:30 p.m. Dec. 3 to discuss books they have been reading, meet new people as well as have some snacks and have a say in what the library buys.
The library will be hosting singer and guitarist Jim Guthbert for an evening of light hearted humor and song styling from the great American songbook 7-8 p.m. Dec. 5.
Come and join the library staff and meet Barbara Crooker, the author of "Gold" for a book signing and poetry reading from 1-2 p.m. Dec. 7.
Books will be available for purchase.
Join the library's new daytime discussion book group for adults to discuss Chris Bohjalian's novel "The Sandcastle Girls" from 2-3 p.m. Dec. 7.
The library is offering a basic computer class for beginners 9 a.m. Dec. 7. Space is limited.
Night at the movies will be 6:30-9 p.m. Dec. 11.
Registration is needed to attend baby story time, the book signing and the basic computer class.
