Vicodin pills stolen

from staff locker

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a blister pack of 60 Vicodin pills was stolen between 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 2 p.m. Nov. 13 from a medical box in a locked staff locker in the staff office at Person Directed Supports, 3476 Golden Key Road, Weisenberg Township.

The medical box was then placed back into the locker.

Man charged

with simple assault

Allen Charles Gruber, 42, of New Tripoli, and a 40-year-old man from Slatington allegedly were involved in a verbal argument Nov. 16 in the 7000 block of Decatur St., Lynn Township, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Police allege Gruber threw a metal hammer at the Slatington man causing an abrasion on his leg.

Gruber was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief, police say.

Teacher injured

at school

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say an 11-year-old Allentown student injured a teacher from Breinigsville in the face 11:40 a.m. Nov. 12 at Lehigh Learning Adjustment School, 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township.

According to police, the juvenile was placed in a behavioral room for acting out in class.

While the teacher was monitoring the room, the student opened the door and struck her in the facewith a closed fist.

The teacher sustained an injury to her nose and was transported by a co-worker to a hospital.

Charges are pending against the juvenile, police say.

Dry board damaged

at school

State Police Troop M Fogelsville investigated a report of vandalism during which a juvenile damaged a dry erase board 10:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at Lehigh Learning Adjustment School, 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township.

Car hits tree

in Lynn Township

Danielle R. Todd-Lee, 22, of Lehighton, was driving a 1996 Toyota Corolla north on Route 309 in the left lane, a half-mile north of Mountain Road, Lynn Township, when the car left the roadway and struck a tree 11:25 a.m. Nov. 8, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Todd-Lee, who was wearing her seat belt, sustained an injury.

Northwestern Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.

Car hits stop sign

at intersection

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Robert P. Clymer, 20, of Germansville, was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix south on Springhouse Road, approaching a right curve before a four-way stop intersection at Mosserville Road, Lynn Township, when he was unable to negotiate the right curve at 6:39 p.m. Nov. 2.

The car crossed the double yellow line into the northbound lane, went through the intersection, exited the left side of the roadway and struck the stop sign on the southeast corner of the intersection.

The car then traveled in a southwest direction crossing both lanes of traffic where it came to rest against several trees facing in a northly direction.

Clymer, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured.

He was charged with driving his vehicle at an unsafe speed, police say.

The Toyota sustained disabling damage and was removed by Getz Towing.
