The Ancient Oak Women's Organization meets 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown. The ladies will have a cookie exchange. Donations will be collected from the members for a needy person or family. The collection will be matched with a donation from the treasury. There will also be a regift members exchange.
Winners of the Halloween House Decorating Contest are 1520 Cherry Lane, 1266 Oak Drive and 7347 Juniper Road.
Look for the Christmas house decorating contest posted in Ancient Oaks. The Women's Organization extends Happy Holiday wishes to all Ancient Oak residents.
The Lower Macungie Senior Citizens meet noon at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center Dec. 3 and 17. Bingo and card games are played after the business meeting. There will also be special entertainment Dec. 17.
Children ages two to 10 are invited to visit with Santa at the Lower Macungie Library 11 a.m. Dec. 7.
Children ages two through eight years old are invited to another Bedtime Booktime at the library 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Don't forget to wear your favorite pajamas.
The library will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.
Want to get into the holiday spirit? Visit Alburtis Dec. 8 for the annual holiday festival. The day begins with breakfast with Santa at the community center, Second and Walnut streets, 8 to 11 a.m. There will be surrey rides and other activities throughout the day. A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to everyone. With all our problems, we as individuals, as families and as a country still have much to be thankful for. Let us remember those who are not as fortunate.
