Open house scheduled

There will be a final fall open house Nov. 17 for parents interested in sending their son or daughter to Allentown Central Catholic High School. Here, parents will have a chance to tour the school and see the classrooms.

Discussions will include the recent innovations of bringing more technology into the classroom and the Virtual High School programs Central offers. The math and science departments will also present information on their departments.

Prospective parents are encouraged to attend and to ask questions to gain an understanding of whether or not Central is right for them.

On Nov. 6, students of Central Catholic donated blood to the Miller-Keystone Blood Bank. The Bloodmobile visited the high school where registered students over the age of 17 donated a pint of blood. With over 30 students participating in the blood drive, the turnout was able to provide the bank with nearly 35 pints of blood.

The blood collected will go to injured and sick patients who need transfusions. Central is proud its students helped make an effort to save lives and help everyone they can.
