Help Santa make calls and write letters
The American Cancer Society Lehigh Valley office is offering a unique program to help Santa during the holiday season.
The event is a cherished yearly fundraiser that helps both the American Cancer Society and the Relay For Life of Whitehall.
Santa will take a work break 6-8 p.m. Dec. 2-5 to say hello or write a letter to area children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and any other child who would like to hear from him.
Because Santa can't possibly call and write to everyone in the world in such a short period of time, he asked the teams of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Whitehall to help him prepare his schedule.
Also, Santa is asking for men in the general public to help with the calls.
To say thank you to the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life teams, Santa will donate $7 for each call he makes, $6 for each letter he writes and $10 for both a call and letter.
Many parents have commented that their children were excited that Santa took time from his busy schedule to call or write them. Parents often look forward to Santa reminding children to be good throughout the year.
Santa has prepared a form to fill out. It can be found on Shari Noctor's website at www.sharinoctor.com. At the bottom right of the form, indicate the Relay team you want to support. The Whitehall teams already registered can be found by visiting www.relayforlife. org/pawhitehall.
Scroll down to the section where teams and participants are found. Click on the team or the participants. Either select a participant you want to support or select a team to place on the bottom of the form. Please put a team name on the form so Whitehall receives the credit.
A separate form is required for each child and must be mailed with payment to the American Cancer Society's Bethlehem office by Monday, Nov. 25.
If you have any questions or can help Santa make these phone calls, contact Shari Noctor at 610-266-5241 or Catharine Lee or Joel Akers at the American Cancer Society at 610-921-2329.
