LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. What grade are you currently enrolled in?

A. I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. Math, because problems can be done in so many different ways. I like the idea of being able to try something so many times and being able to get the same answer from different processes.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. Yes. I have been named a Questbridge Prep Scholar and Finalist, a Scholar Athlete Nominee, a member of National Honor Society, a recipient of the Sons of the American Revolution citizenship award and a recipient of two first place PJAS awards.

Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in, both in and out of school?

A. I participate in National Honor Society, Key Club, Future Business Leaders of America, class advisory, student government, Scholastic Scrimmage, varsity girls soccer, varsity track and field, band and drum lessons.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I aim to go to college and go for a biology major which will lead to a pre-med track.

Q. What would you say your biggest challenge was so far?

A. My biggest challenge so far has been time management. Especially this year, I have found it very difficult to balance everything. From a part-time job, to managing my college course homework, it becomes overwhelming; but it is a great wake- up call to show me what college will be like.

Q. What do you want to be remembered for?

A. I want to be remembered for always trying my hardest and being polite and kind to everyone. I want people to think of me as "that girl who was so kind to me" or "that girl who never settled for anything below her standards."

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My mother, brother, grandmother and dog Chewie are the members of my family.

Q. Do you have somone you look up to?

A. Yes. I look up to my mom. She always tries so hard to make sure everything stays okay and never gives up. I want to be as dedicated and hard- working as she is someday.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Don't ever settle for second best. If you're not happy with the result, you have the power to change that.
