Death investigation

On Oct. 21, 2013, at approximately 4:25 p.m., the Emmaus Police Department responded to the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks in the area of the 1200 block of Chestnut Street for a person struck by a train. Police found the person was dead.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Emmaus Police Department was assisted at the scene by Emmaus EMS, Emmaus Fire Department, Norfolk Southern Police and the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
