Students will have an early dismissal tomorrow, Oct. 25, for a teacher in-service day.

The dismissal times are 10:35 a.m. for secondary students and noon for elementary and Washington Crossing students. No lunches will be served.

High school picture retake is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 25.

Students can have their fall picture retaken if unsatisfied with their initial pictures.

The middle school book fair will be held beginning Monday, Oct. 28, through Friday, Nov. 1.

Students will have the opportunity to purchase a number of great books.

Students will be bringing home a detailed flyer explaining the event.

Lehigh Elementary School Market Day Pick-up is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The end of first marking period is Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Elementary school report cards will be distributed Tuesday, Nov. 12.

A presentation entitled "Academic and Social Issues in Educating Gifted Students – A Gifted Overview," will be presented Dr. Mary Ann Swiatek 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Northampton Area High School.

Swiatek is a licensed psychologist experienced with the Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth (SMPY), key interests in educational methods (especially acceleration and ability grouping) and psychosocial issues. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education speakers bureau and has authored a number of publications on gifted education.

Moore Elementary School will be honoring local veterans and active duty military personnel at its second annual Veterans Day ceremony Monday, Nov. 11.

The school is looking for veterans and active duty military men and women interested in talking with small groups of children.
