LV Foundation launches new website

The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation has launched SHARE lehigh valley, a website that is a collaborative resource for non-profits, donors and the community at large.

SHARE Lehigh Valley contains a database of non-profits in the area, a shared resource to offer and receive help, and a knowledgebase of national data.

The site, sharelehighvalley.org, previously known as the Lehigh Valley Community Platform, was administered by the Lehigh Valley Research Consortium and the Children's Coalition of the Lehigh Valley. The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation took over the administration of the website in July.

SHARE lehigh valley is a community platform created by the National Center for Charitable Statistics.

Community members can search for resources in their neighborhood using the map search, or find Valley-wide resources with a keyword search.

The database includes non-profit organizations in the Lehigh Valley that file a Form 990 with the IRS.

Non-profits can create and edit profiles on the site. The site is free to use. Training on SHARE lehigh valley is available by contacting the Community Foundation.

The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation enables donors, including individuals, families, businesses, private foundations and nonprofits, to establish philanthropic funds that will fulfill their charitable intentions, temporarily or in perpetuity, by providing grants to nonprofit organizations and programs. The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation manages 167 charitable funds representing a total of approximately $35 million in assets.
