The Ancient Oak Women's Organization will meet 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, at St. Paul's UCC, Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown. Bonko games will be played after the meeting.

The Ancient Oak Halloween house decorating contest will be judged 7 p.m. Oct. 28. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.

The Lower Macungie Senior Citizens meet noon Nov. 5 and 19 at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Bingo and other games are played after the business meeting. Special entertainment is presented after the Nov. 19 meeting.

Nov. 5 is Election Day, always an important and special day for Americans. Make sure your voice is heard through the ballot.

There will be a book sale at the Lower Macungie Library 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and 23. A bag sale will be held 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 23.

Children ages two to eight years old are invited to bedtime booktime 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4. Snuggle up in your favorite pajamas and listen to bedtime stories– some old, some new.

Daylight Savings ends Nov. 3– time to catch up on that one hour we lost in March. Remember to put your clocks back.

Veterans Day is Nov. 11– fly the flag. Remember all veterans in your thoughts and prayers.

Halloween is Oct. 31. It is a time for children to have fun. Make sure their costumes can be seen by drivers. Drivers, be on the alert for anyone crossing streets. Slow down.
