Whitehall-Coplay School District News

The Whitehall High School Zephyr Marching Band is hosting the Tournament of Bands Eastern Pennsylvania Championship Saturday, Oct. 19, at the high school stadium.

The show begins at 6 p.m. The Zephyrs will be the last to perform at 7:45 p.m.

There is an admission charge.

Come out and support the Zephyr band!

Gockley Elementary School Wear Red Day will take place Friday, Oct. 25.

Wear Red Day is a national effort to help reduce the demand for drugs in our country.

Children may wear red socks, red shirts, red sweaters, red shoelaces and red hair ribbons.

The first movie night of the year will take place Nov. 1 in the middle school auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7:15 p.m.

"Hotel Transylvania" will be shown to celebrate Halloween. Children are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Trick-or-treat goodies and basket raffle chances will be sold and Christmas City Studios will be present to take photos of the kids in their costumes.

Students from the Whitehall-Coplay School District are invited.

The first marking period ends Oct. 30.

Elementary and middle school report cards will be distributed during the week of Nov. 12.

If you have any concerns about your child's grades, contact your child's teacher.

The Whitehall High School cheerleaders will host a Longaberger, Coach and Vera Bradley bingo event Sunday, Oct. 27, at the American Club of Coplay. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo begins at 2 p.m.

The ticket price includes 20 regular games, door prizes, a Chinese auction and refreshments. Tickets for special games also are available.
