The middle school will be collecting items for the Northampton Food Bank through Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Northampton Area Food Bank is in dire need of donations.

Each homeroom will have a bag to fill. Some of the items needed include canned vegetables, fruits, soup, stew, canned meats of any kind, pasta, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, cereal, crackers, instant potatoes, rice, stuffing mix, cleaning products, baby items and personal hygiene items.

School will be closed Monday, Oct. 14, for a teacher in-service day.

The Northampton Area School District PTA Council will meet this evening at 7 p.m. at the high school.

Moore Elementary School will be honoring local veterans and active duty military personnel at its second annual Veterans Day ceremony Monday, Nov. 11.

Moore is currently looking for veterans and active duty military men and women interested in talking with small groups of children.

The next school board meeting is set for Monday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the district offices on Laubach Avenue.

The community is welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Smile, it's picture day at Franklin Elementary School!

Students and staff at the Franklin will have their pictures taken Thursday, Oct. 17.

Students will be bringing home order forms for parents to review. All students will have their pictures taken, but purchasing prints is optional.
