Schools in the district will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day.

The Catasauqua Middle School PTF will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the school library.

Members of this organization volunteer to chaperone dances, provide baked goods and drinks for social events and assist with fundraisers, school events and class activities.

They also assist when needed in the main office or guidance department of the middle school.

The Catasauqua Halloween Parade will be held 7 p.m. next Wednesday.

The parade begins at 14th Street and moves on to Race Street, ending at the North Catasauqua Park.
