Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject is environmental science and ecology because I believe it is important to understand and find ways to address environmental issues facing humanity. I wish to contribute to this effort.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: Special awards and recognitions I have received throughout my high school career include: Honorable Mention and Silver Key at Scholastic Art and Writing, French Honor Society Member, second place at Lehigh Valley Science and Engineering Fair, second place at Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science State Competition, third place in Regional Envirothon competition and Recognition of Academic Excellence in American Studies II Honors.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: Currently, I am on the cross-country team, a member of the hiking club, French club, National Honor Society and the treasurer for Envirothon. I plan to continue participating in Marine Fitness Club, Chamber and Biology Olympiad. In my free time I paint, snowboard and run.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: My goal after high school is to attend a college and major in a field of environmental sciences.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: My biggest challenge so far has been time management and balancing my workload between my academic studies, job and extracurricular activities.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for being a well-rounded person.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: In my immediate family there is: my father, Zicheng, my mother, Lijian, and my two brothers Sunny and Daniel. I have a pet catfish named Lance.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to my older brother Sunny not only for his academic achievements but also his good nature.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: My advice to my peers would be don't give up because someone said you cannot do it, instead prove them wrong.
