Holiday decorations are starting to appear around town. Orange lights, pumpkins, ghosts and more announce the coming of Halloween.
Trick or Treat in Alburtis will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. Parents should make sure children and their costumes are visible to drivers.
Come to the community center Oct. 12 for the 12th annual fall festival, noon to 5 p.m. One of the big attractions is the cow pie bingo. There is a cost to play cow pie bingo. Children's admission is a flat fee for unlimited games and activities. Other activities include bingo and a pet festival. The center is located on Walnut and Second streets.
Friday night bingo at the commuity center has resumed. Doors open 5:30 p.m. and games begin 7 p.m. Call the center at 610-966-2954 or check the website, www.aacconline.org for further information.

The Alburtis Senior Citizens meet noon Oct. 16 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Penn Avenue and Quarry Road. After lunch, a meeting is held and games are played.

The Aburtis Lock Ridge Historical Society meets at its headquarters, Church and Franklin streets, lower level 7 p.m. Oct. 17. The meeting is open to all interested in the history of the Alburtis area. There will be an open house 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 19.
Don't forget the Camp Fire fundraiser at Arby's Oct. 12. Another upcoming event is the special bingo at the community center Oct. 20 featuring products from Vera Bradley, Longaberger and the Pampered Chef.
