The middle school box top competition is now under way.
Families are encouraged to begin collecting BoxTops for Education, found on General Mills products.
The middle school will be holding a friendly competition between homerooms for the most collected.

Steckel Meet the Teacher Night is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Oct. 3.
Parents are encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher and become more familiar with the school.

The next PTO meeting will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the middle school.

Smile, it's Gockley picture day!
Students will have their pictures taken Wednesday, Oct. 9.
All students will have their photograph taken, but purchasing photos is optional.
Students will be bringing home more information and order forms for parents to review.

"Passionately Pink" will be held to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer at Zephyr Elementary School Friday, Oct. 11.
It's passionate because the need to fight breast cancer is urgent and because so many have been affected by breast cancer in one way or another.
Participating is simple. Just wear pink. Staff will be making donations to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides for Breast Cancer, to be held Oct. 26 in Bethlehem.
Students may participate if they would like, but are not required to make a donation.

The PTO trip to New York City for the Holiday Shopping and Lights Tour is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7.
The spirit of Christmas is more than alive in New York City. When it comes to holiday fun, no city does it quite like New York.
From midtown and Rockefeller Center, participants can take a stroll on Fifth Avenue, take a carriage ride through Central Park and visit Bloomingdale's, Apple's famed underground store or FAO Schwarz.
At each stop, information will be provided about stores and sights nearby. Maps will be provided.
After the tours, participants will head downtown to enjoy Little Italy for more shopping and dinner.
