St. John's Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will be having its annual basket social 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 5.

There will be more than 50 different themed baskets. Drawing starts 1:30 p.m.

Various vendors will be selling their products.

Lunch items, baked goods and homemade chowchow will be available for purchase.

Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, is looking for volunteers to help with the construction and painting of their "Fishers of Men" float 4:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

They are also looking for people decked in fishing outfits to be walkers or riders on the float in the Topton Halloween parade 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
