Weapons in school
Reported at Lower Macungie Middle School, 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, a 13-year-old male was suspended from school after he allegedly was found to be in possession of a knife 3 p.m. Sept. 11. No threats or injuries resulted from the act.
Burglary
Reported in the 5300 block of Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, approximately 20 feet of copper piping was taken between 6 p.m. Sept. 20 and 4 p.m. Sept. 21.

Assault
A 17-year-old male from Barto was traveling southbound on Hamilton Boulevard near the intersection of Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:52 p.m. Sept. 21, when the operator of a tan Chevrolet Equinox SUV threw a green object out of a window, smashing the rear driver side window of the vehicle driven by the Barto teen.

Theft from a motor vehicle
Reported in the 3300 block of Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed several items from a vehicle Aug. 30.
Reported in the 7500 block of Buttercup Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors took items from an unlocked vehicle 12:30 a.m. Sept. 15. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Retail theft
Ty Berghold-Boger, of Emmaus, and Zachary Reich, of Allentown, were charged with summary offense retail theft after they allegedly took $50 worth of items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:50 p.m. Sept. 13. Berghold-Boger and Reich were apprehended by loss prevention personnel at the store and later taken into police custody.
Reported at Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 12, an unknown man entered the store and took DVDs from a shelf. The man then hid behind a shelf, concealed the DVDs and walked out of the store without paying for the items. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-394-1438.
Christopher Alan Bland, 27, of Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took a 42-inch flat screen television from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. Sept. 15. The television was valued at $398.
Jose Luis Sanchez, 32, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took 17 containers of baby formula from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:59 p.m. Sept. 12. Sanchez allegedly fled the store when confronted by loss prevention personnel.
An 11-year-old female, a 14-year-old female and a 16-year-old female, all of Allentown, were seen by loss prevention personnel at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, taking various items and concealing the items in their purses 2 p.m. Aug. 20. The girls were seen leaving the store without paying for the items valued at $156.25.
Criminal mischief
Reported in the 6500 block of Hickory Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors damaged a window pane and fled the scene 10:54 a.m. Aug. 19.
Theft of mislaid property
Reported at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, a white Apple iPhone 4s was taken from a bathroom 11:10 p.m. Sept. 11. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Theft of lost property
Reported at Wawa, 3321 Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, a debit card was lost Aug. 12 and later used to make purchases at seven different locations for a total of $384.89.
Identity theft
Reported by a Macungie resident between Aug. 5 and Aug. 7, an unknown actor attempted to open nine credit card accounts using the identity information of the Macungie resident. Three of the nine accounts were successfully opened.
Access device fraud
Reported in the 5700 block of Burning Tree Lane, Lower Macungie Township, an unauthorized use of a credit card occurred Sept. 8. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Reported in the 800 block of Cold Spring Road, Lower Macungie Township, unauthorized charges were made to credit cards between May and August. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Reported by a resident in the 5700 block of Spring Haven Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors in Florida attempted to open credit card accounts using personal information of the Lower Macungie Township resident. After uncovering existing open credit accounts, the unknown actors tried to make purchases using those accounts between 12:01 a.m. Sept. 12 and 1:06 p.m. Sept. 14. The fraud department for the credit card companies detected the suspicious activity on the accounts and declined use of the accounts for the purchases.
Reported in the 7000 block of Tuscany Drive, Lower Macungie Township, an unnamed actor obtained a woman's credit/debit card information and made multiple purchases noon Sept. 8. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Burglary
Reported in the 1400 block of Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, an unknown actor broke a one-inch hole in a glass pane in a rear basement door and opened the door between 7:15 and 8:38 p.m. Aug. 22.
Underage drinking
Reported by an unnamed witness in the 8200 block of Bensons Lane, Lower Milford Township, who saw a 17-year-old male asleep in a camper behind the residence 12:55 a.m. Sept. 17. The witness, unable to rouse the teen, called police and emergency medical services. Charges were filed for underage consumption.
DUI
Benjamin Abraham Lopez, of Macungie, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and various traffic offenses after an alleged traffic stop on Minesite Road at East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:26 a.m. Aug. 31. Lopez was taken to Lehigh County Prison where a blood draw was obtained.
