State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, will host a senior expo 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at Luther Crest, 800 Hausman Road, Allentown.

"I invite seniors to come to my senior expo and take advantage of the free health screenings that will be offered," Mackenzie said. "My staff and I will be on hand to explain programs and services that are available to seniors through my office."

In addition to free health screenings, representatives from a number of senior care and services organizations will be in attendance to answer questions and share free information about resources on aging.

Flu shots will also be available to the public. Individuals who are on Medicare who desire to receive a flu shot should bring their Medicare cards with them.

"The expo is also an excellent time to learn more about the property tax and rent rebate that is available to Pennsylvania seniors," Mackenzie said. "We will walk people through the process of applying and let them know of other programs for which they might also be eligible."
