ALBURTIS COLUMN Welcome autumn

Another month almost ended, another season just begun. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. It brings a welcome change of weather, a bit of snap in the air that puts a spring in your step. Best of all, is the beauty around you trees, bushes, flowers of various colors everywhere you look. Another picture painted by the Lord.

The Ancient Oak Women's Organization meets 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at St. Paul's U.C.C, Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown. State Rep. Ryan MacKenzie, R-134th, will be the guest speaker. The organization is having a hoagie sale. To place your order, call Bonnie at 610-554-5534.

The Ancient Oak Garage Sale is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 28.

Look for the Ancient Oak Halloween House decorating signs posted around the development.

The Lower Macungie Senior Citizens meet noon Oct. 1 and 15 at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie. Bingo and other games are played at both meetings with special entertainment at the Oct. 15 meeting.
