Keep America Beautiful, the nation's leading nonprofit bringing people together to build and sustain vibrant communities, is teaming up with Nestlé Pure Life to announce the launch of the third Recycle-Bowl youth recycling competition.
Schools participating in the Recycle-Bowl competition recycle 10 percent more than schools not participating.
Registration for this incentive-based recycling competition is open to all public and private U.S. schools at recycle-bowl.org.
The competition runs Oct. 21-Nov. 15 culminating on America Recycles Day.
Participating schools will track and report how much recyclable material they collect for a chance to win prizes.
At the close of the four-week competition, the school in each state and the District of Columbia collecting the most recyclable material per capita will win $1,000.
Educational recycling activities will also be provided online and through a registration toolkit.
