The 2013 Police K-9 Trials, sponsored by the Salisbury Township Police Officers Association, will be held 9 a.m. Sept. 22 at the Salisbury High School football field, 500 E. Montgomery St., Allentown.

Events include agility, call off, fastest dog, obedience and a special bonus event.

There is an entry charge and all proceeds from this event will be donated to The Kyle Pagerly Memorial Fund and The Wounded Warrior Project.

Pagerly was a deputy sheriff and canine handler with the Berk's County Sheriff's Department. He was killed June 29, 2011, in the line of duty while serving a warrant. The first K-9 Trial event had over 40 K-9 handlers and raised over $6,000. The following year, over $5,000 was raised for The Kyle Pagerly Memorial Fund as well as the Fox Children's Fund to support the family of Brad Fox, another K-9 officer killed in the line of duty Sept. 13, 2012.
