The 2013 Police K-9 Trials, sponsored by the Salisbury Township Police Officers Association, will be held 9 a.m. Sept. 22 at the Salisbury High School football field, 500 E. Montgomery St., Allentown.

There is an entry charge and all proceeds from this event will be donated to The Kyle Pagerly Memorial Fund and The Wounded Warrior Project.

Pagerly was a deputy sheriff and canine handler with the Berk's County Sheriff's Department. He was killed June 29, 2011 in the line of duty while serving a warrant. The first K-9 Trial event had over 40 K-9 handlers and raised over $6,000. The following year, over $5,000 was raised for The Kyle Pagerly Memorial Fund as well as the Fox Children's Fund to support the family of Brad Fox, a K-9 officer killed in the line of duty Sept. 13, 2012.
