There will be an early dismissal for Sheckler Elementary School students on Sept. 18. Students in grades 1-4 will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. Kindergarten will meet on a modified schedule, with morning classes meeting 8:50 to 10:30 a.m. and afternoon students meeting from 11:40 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Meet the Teacher Night is tonight. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The first session will begin at 6 p.m. Session two will start at 6:50 p.m. This is a great opportunity to become familiar with your child's classroom and the rules and classroom procedures for each teacher. Don't forget to stop by the book fair going on as well and visit the information tables that will be set up in the gym.

I hope everyone is having a successful time with selling items for the Cherrydale fundraiser. Remember, orders and payments are due on Sept. 27. Selling 10 items gets your child an invite to the mega event that will be held at a later time. Good luck and happy selling.
