The Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club is running a class to help participants prepare for the FCC test to earn an amateur radio license and begin talking on the radio with other amateur radio operators locally and around the world.
Radio operators can even talk to astronauts in space.
Free classes will start Sept. 10 and run 7-9 p.m. for nine Tuesday evenings at Gracedale, near Nazareth.
Anyone interested in attending the classes or who has questions about the class or amateur radio is asked to call 610-432-8286 or email ke3aw@arrl.net.
More information on amateur radio also can be found on the Internet at www.arrl.org and www.dlarc.org.
