The Federal Surplus Property Program now has a new Web page dedicated to special items made available through direct allocation, State Rep. Julie Harhart, R-183rd, said.
The Federal Surplus Property Program offers property to municipalities, school districts, fire and police departments and certain non-profit organizations at a great cost-savings. Property is donated to eligible entities directly from the federal government for a small service charge. The program is not open to private citizens.
"Many great items can be found through government surplus and this new website makes locating what your organization needs that much easier," Harhart said. "You can find everything from computers to vehicles to office equipment and furniture listed on the website with inventory continuously changing."
These items go quickly and have a deadline for response, so those interested are encouraged to check the Web page regularly for new listings being made available.
