Disturbance

Police were called to the Detox Center, 1620 Riverside Drive, 9:58 p.m. Aug. 9 for the report of a disturbance. A patient became disruptive, punching holes in walls and left the facility.

Criminal mischief

Police were called to Bank of America, 1265 South Cedar Crest Blvd, 11:55 a.m. Aug. 9 for a smashed screen on an ATM machine. There was broken glass on the ground and police are reviewing the surveillance video.

Theft

A resident in the 900 block of Buckingham Drive reported 10 a.m. Aug. 9 the theft of a brass bird bath valued at $200.

DUI

Melvin Torres-Roman, 40, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Kevin Chamberlin, 33, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Byron Coons, 28, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Ruben Sagastume-Munoz, 23, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1:20 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Keith Lilly, 54, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1:36 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Robert Bowen, 43, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1:10 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Bello Quendi, 29, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1:36 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Michael Butynskyi, 30, of Barto, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway 1:36 a.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Jasmine Dawson, 32, of Northampton, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and driving under the influence 8:12 p.m. Aug. 12. Police found Dawson allegedly passed out in the vehicle with the child hanging out of the window along Riverside Drive. She was taken to Central Booking for processing and Children and Youth of Northampton County took custody of the child.

Police were dispatched to an accident 3:14 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 600 block of Emmaus Avenue where they found Joshua Lee, 30, of Allentown. Lee allegedly fell asleep and hit a mailbox. He was taken to Central Booking under the suspicion of driving under the influence.

Steven Longtin, 56, of Allentown, was stopped for allegedly going through a stop sign 8:35 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 1700 block of Salisbury Road. He allegedly could not pass sobriety field tests; was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Assault

Ryan Shoemaker, 27, of Allentown, was charged with simple assault and harassment 11:52 a.m. Aug. 13 after an incident in the 800 block of East Susquehanna Street. Shoemaker allegedly was involved in a verbal argument, picked up a hatchet and threw it at the victim's car. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Drug possession

Jillene Bogert, 49, of Emmaus, was charged with possession of controlled substances, drug paraphernalia 4:37 a.m. Aug. 17 after an alleged traffic stop along Fish Hatchery Road. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Burglary

A couple in the 3600 block of Devonshire Road returned home from a trip 3:40 p.m. Aug. 18 to find a rear window forced open in the home. Three firearms and a watch were removed. The incident is still under investigation.
