Harassment
A 51-year-old male and an 84-year-old female were involved in a verbal argument 11:01 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 900 block of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township. The male allegedly pushed the female and he was removed from the residence. He will be cited with harassment.
Criminal mischief
An unknown actor broke ground light covers outside of an office buiding at 1005 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township sometime between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 4 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 5.
An unknown actor keyed the trunk of a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of Dubonnet Drive, Lower Macungie Township sometime between midnight and 9:45 a.m. Aug. 11.
Theft from motor vehicle
Seven victims reported unknown actors went into unlocked and locked vehicles and removed various items in the area of Silvano Drive, Lower Macungie Township sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. Aug. 10.
Sometime between midnight and 5:50 a.m. Aug. 12, an unknown actor removed a black case containing a laptop and files from an unlocked vehicle in the 3400 block of Watermill Drive, Lower Macungie Township.
DUI
Dariel Batista, 28, of Providence, R.I., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol 9:06 p.m. Aug. 9 on Interstate 78 at mile marker 56.2 in Salisbury Township. Batista was stopped for an alleged traffic violation and was transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center for arraignment. Charges are pending.
Corey Patrick Pappas, 22, of Allentown, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol 12:09 a.m. Aug. 11 on Hamilton Boulevard and Village Round, Lower Macungie Township. Pappas was stopped for alleged multiple traffic violations. Police said Pappas allegedly exhibited multiple signs of impairment and allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol before driving his vehicle. Charges are to be filed.
Ian Anthony Schmick, 23, of Macungie, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol 1:42 a.m. Aug. 10 on Hamilton Boulevard and Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township. Schmick was allegedly stopped for several moving violations. Charges will be filed upon the receipt of blood test results. The incident is pending court proceedings.
Timothy Lee Roy, 42, of Zionsville, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence 10:37 p.m. Aug. 8. State police were dispatched to Main Road West at Wood Lane, Upper Milford Township for a report of a one vehicle crash. The crash occurred as Roy allegedly lost control on the wet roadway and he and a passenger fell off of a scooter. Both were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest for treatment.
Robert Allen Silfies, 20, of Fogelsville, was stopped for an alleged lane violation on Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township 3:40 a.m. Aug. 3. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence after allegedly showing signs of impairment. He was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center for processing.
Brittany Marie Babin, 20, of Allentown, was stopped for an alleged lane violation on Interstate 78 at mile marker 60.3, Salisbury Township 3:54 a.m. Aug. 4. She was taken into custody for driving under the influence after allegedly showing signs of impairment. She was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center for processing.
Corruption of minors
Quentin Reed Harris, 19, of Sherman, Conn., is accused of allegedly providing vodka to four juveniles and instructing them to drink it 7:23 p.m. Aug. 10 in Timber Ridge Park, Lower Macungie Township. The two female juveniles were highly intoxicated and one was taken to St. Luke's Hospital. The incident is pending court proceedings at District Court 31-3-02.
Retail theft
Two unknown actors removed two carts full of various merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township 3:56 p.m. Aug. 11. The female actor, approximately 30 years old, fled in a red Ford Expedition with no registration plate.
Nicole Marie Smith, 25, and Aimee Ellen Zipp, 19, both of Kutztown, were accused of removing items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township 8:05 p.m. Aug. 7 and allegedly placing them in their purses and pockets without paying for them. They were cited for retail theft.
Hit and run crash
A 33-year-old male from Audobon, Pa., was observed walking on the right roadside of Interstate 78 at mile marker 59.6, Upper Saucon Township 1:50 a.m. Aug. 11 attempting to flag down a vehicle for a ride. He was struck by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle may have been traveling on the 309 on-ramp to Interstate 78 westbound. Following this collision, the vehicle fled the scene. The unknown vehicle may exhibit damage to its front and driver side. A driver side view mirror from the vehicle was found at the scene. The hit and run vehicle may be a van. The victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, by Upper Saucon EMS with multiple injuries of unknown severity.
Theft by unlawful taking
A resident in the 1400 block of Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township reported 12:11 p.m. Aug. 11 her Access card is missing and believes a family member may have removed it. The investigation continues.
A resident in the 4500 block of County Line Road, Lower Milford Township, reported sometime between 11 a.m. July 20 and 11 a.m. Aug. 9, an unknown person removed between $7,000 and $8,000 out of her residence. The investigation continues.
Theft
Sometime between Jan. 27 and Aug. 12, a person staying with the victim in the 6800 block of Lincoln Drive, Lower Macungie Township removed several pieces of jewelry from the victim's residence as well as an undisclosed amount of money from the victim's bank accounts. The incident is currently under investigation.
Public drunkenness
Michael Thomas Brady, 37, of Upper Macungie, was found 5:01 a.m. Aug. 12 walking alongside Lower Macungie Road. Police said Brady was allegedly walking along an unlit road along the fog line wearing dark clothing and vehicles were swerving to avoid him. Brady allegedly consumed six beers prior to departing an undisclosed location in Emmaus and his clothes were muddied as he fell along the way. He was charged with public drunkenness.
