Emmaus Main Street Partners will host their Farewell Summer Festival On Main Street 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 7 in Emmaus. All events are free unless noted otherwise.

Ÿ10 a.m. Farewell Summer Festival Opening featuring the Emmaus Sentinels Alumni Drum and Bugle Corp. on the Triangle.

Ÿ10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children's activities, face painting, live music, martial arts and Parkour demo on the Triangle.

HELLERTOWN

Community Day set for Aug. 17

Hellertown-Lower Saucon's 12th Annual Community Day will open with a 9:45 a.m. Scout's flag ceremony and the singing of the national anthem, followed by the day's activities 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 at Dimmick Park.

At noon, local and state representatives will recognize two local business owners, Bob Hohman of Se Wy Co Beverage; and Robert Matey, founder of Robert K. Matey Agency, now Matey-Medei Agency, as well as the Hellertown American Legion.

There will be businesses and civic groups, children's activities, giveaways, food, a local dance troupe, live music and a car show.
